Dave, on a whim i thought I'd post a link to Wil Wheaton's Blog http://www.wilwheaton.net/ I read the Aug. 15 entry and thought "hmm, Dave Hyndman may like this" since I happened to read your entry about Lucero a moment prior. Have a good day :)

Dave - I'm the same way. That album 'Lucero' is doing it for me. I just d'loaded Tennessee, and after one quick run through, it's as good or better (btw- I think it is Unplugged Kurt that his voice strains of). IMO 'Nobody's Darling' loses some twang, still good though. I have moved their other album That Much Further...... to the top of my 'to buy' list.
Check out their tour schedule - http://www.luceromusic.com/ - these guys are road hogs.

Thanks for the eMusic tip, I also added to my Drive By Truckers
collection!
Here's another tip; I noticed Blue Mountain's album Roots at eMusic, this is an old standby that never ventures far from the player. It's all trad. covers, by an Uncle Tupelo era, influenced band ( They have all sorts of connections, musical & otherwise, to Tupelo). I don't have any other tunes by them, but I suspect i'd like them.
