That album 'Lucero' is doing it for me. I just d'loaded Tennessee, and after one quick run through, it's as good or better (btw- I think it is Unplugged Kurt that his voice strains of). IMO 'Nobody's Darling' loses some twang, still good though. I have moved their other album That Much Further...... to the top of my 'to buy' list. Here's another tip; I noticed Blue Mountain's album Roots at eMusic, this is an old standby that never ventures far from the player. It's all trad. covers, by an Uncle Tupelo era, influenced band ( They have all sorts of connections, musical & otherwise, to Tupelo).
